[It's safe to say that after Dandy called her out on the network and she'd quickly fled, Maya had been avoiding Dandy. Being that they live in the same house, this had proved to be difficult, and had required Maya to literally just leave the premises for a whe. But Maya can't avoid the house forever, and is a bit pleased when she first enters and doesn't see Dandy around. This may be where she gets careless, as it isn't even three hallway turns before Maya runs into that very same boy.

If there was any chance Maya could pull off a good escape, it's gone when a startled, high-pitched orca squeak escapes her.]

[Maya's been missing for awhile, he's noticed, don't think he hasn't. Not like he really cares, she's a grown ass woman, she can do whatever the hell she wants. Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised if she just wanted to leave, it's a very real possibility--

Looks like it's Dandy who's going to fill the silence, although if you asked him, it isn't by choice. Who wouldn't lose it after hearing something like that?!]

[The laughter goes on for a good while, until finally Dandy slips and makes his own dolphin squeak. Of course, because he wasn't paying attention, it comes out full force, echoing through the hall. Dandy immediately cuts himself off, shutting up and clearing his throat as if that would somehow make what just happened disappear.]

[Hands over her mouth, Maya almost feels pretty embarrassed, until Dandy makes a similar noise. Nice. She can't help but let a "pfft!" escape behind her hands and looks away from him to prevent any more laughter.]

Um-- yeah. Hi.

[Sheepishly she turns her eyes back toward him, looking him up and down as if she can assess his mood from it.]

He stands up as straight as he can, avoiding eye contact, just to make sure he comes off as cool as possible. Dolphin noises? What dolphin noises? She's crazy. Maya's obviously pfffting at something else entirely.]

Maya takes a moment to answer, breathing in deep and letting it out in a sigh. She can do this, right? Even if it's to Dandy, of all people.
