[Dandy gets...very quiet.]

[With a bit of a huff, Dandy pushes himself up and sulks out of his not-door. Better hurry, Maya. He's heading out.]

[Quick to get back onto her feet, Maya trots after Dandy like a little shadow. She still seems wound up, fists still clenched and eyes wide with curiosity. She even puts her hand on Dandy's back as they walk with just a slight shove as if to get him to walk faster.]

That's...a new one. As Dandy makes his way out the castle, he occasionally looks over his shoulder and gives Maya a curious glance. He's not used to people just...touching him like that. Bop him, smack him with a broom, stuff like that, sure. But no one just...touches.

It's weird.

The looks stop the closer they get outside, and eventually Dandy just turns completely solemn. He leads her some way around Mirai, somewhere out of sight where people can't see his SHAME.]

Well. There she is.

[When he stops, he stands before his beautiful Aloha Oe. Which is now a volkswagen bus.]

[There's a gasp from behind Dandy as Maya realises that-- well, it's not a spaceship. Not anymore. But it's definitely the Aloha Oe; she doesn't have to have seen it before to get that blatant-ass logo. Unaware of any effect she may have had on Dandy's train of thought, however, she hurries to one of the doors and hops up on her toes, trying to see inside. It's actually easier to see, even in the early dark, now, especially now that a faint bioluminescent glow is beginning to manifest in the white portions of her skin.]

Is it-- Whoa!

[Even on the inside, it doesn't look like a bus she's ever seen before! It looks like a space ship on the inside... Just.... a monster on the outside. But even if she is a monster now--]

It's so cool!

[--the Aloha Oe still has value in Maya's eyes.]

Do you have the key? Does a space-ship van have a key? I wanna look inside!

[She thinks that's cool? A spaceship is cool, this is just...

[And she turns her head to flash him an excited smile over her shoulder.]

[Wow, she sure is excited... That's almost endearing, if he were the kind of person to admit that. ...Out loud. Dandy never thought he'd be able to look at his "ship" with anything other than disgust ever again, but here he is. She must be some sort of magician.]

Alright, alright. What's the rush?

[Well he certainly has a more...positive air around him now as he struts over to his surf bus. Digging into his pocket, he pulls out the key and unlocks the door, throwing them open for her. He then steps aside, inviting her in with a gesture, the entire thing is hers to explore.

...Although not right away. Before letting her in, he can't help but run a finger down her cheek, almost like he's trying to wipe something off it.]

You got a lil glow on ya.

[People sure are touching Maya's face a lot since she got here... But if they're going to be as gentle as Dandy and Rohan with her, Maya won't complain. Honestly? It's kind of nice...

Unable to get a great look at the glow on her own face, Maya instead looks at her arms, grinning at the sight.]

I'm catching up to you!

[She warns before crawling into the bus on her knees, stopping to marvel at the stars on the walls and the beautiful lady on the ceiling.]

It's just like out of a movie!

[Shit...that's cute. She almost sounds like that's something she wants to happen. They'd be the same...

Dandy shakes his head as he leans against the vehicle's door frame, watching her crawl around in there.]

I hope not, this is a Dandy original, baby. Someone would owe me royalties.

A space hunter would make a great movie!

[Maya chimes back, leaning over the front bench to inspect the drivers seats, hanging half way over it... nearly losing her balance for half a second. But she's okay!

....She hasn't been in a lot of cars. Police cars, totally! Other cars, nah. It's bikes for her and Nick.]

You can even tell it was a space ship before!

[That's adorable that she thinks she can tell without ever being in a spaceship. What a nerd.

[Bouncing up like popcorn in a pan, Maya giggles as she clambers over the bench again, sliding into the passenger's seat kind of... awkwardly... before twisting around again to shout--]

[How can anyone be this excited...? Well whatever, Dandy gets into the driver's seat, acting like he's done it a thousand times. Which...he has...kind of...

Hm.

Maybe he can get used to this after all.

He turns towards Maya, but not before leaning over and scooping up what looks like three rather old--but still in surprisingly good shape--cassettes that have just been...sitting at the bottom.]

It's not a proper take off without tunes, am I right? How about it? You wanna pick~?

[Dandy holds them out for her, their hers for the choosing. It's just that...none of the labels are in English. Or Japanese. Or any language of the planet Earth.

Um.]

[Maya stares at the cassettes like a kid stares at a hand of magic cards, and..... slowly points to the one in the middle.]
