Okay, listen, since this is private, I'm gonna need you to do me, like, the hugest favor. I'm not REALLY the guy who did that junk. idk who did, no one does. But one day some jackass blamed me so I just ran with it. Could you just...like...pretend I'm totally the fog slayer so people don't go lookin' for the real guy? cuz they got the closest to fucking up the fog god I've ever seen since i got here and I'd REALLY like to get out of here, y'know?

Pardon me. I... suppose I'm just a little desperate to get out of here myself. Firstly, I have never killed another sentient being before, and I would like to keep it that way, especially considering that I'm at a developmental stage where that sort of traumatic experience could be extraordinarily damaging to my psyche. Secondly, I left several things and people behind that are in urgent need of my attention. I am not being hyperbolic when I say that my entire planet is in a very precarious position right now and at any moment the wrath of two god-like beings could be upon us. Forgive me for rambling. Anyways, what exactly happened to wound the Fog God so? Or could you at least describe the consequences of what you observed other than us arriving a few months later than normal.

beats me. she usually brings a new handful of unlucky saps every other month, then one time just...bam, nothing. We only know someone did it cuz it pissed her off real bad. ended up changing a bunch of people's monsters in a tantrum i guess? I mean they're already changing back to their regular monster so obviously she's gotta be losing her touch.

honestly i wish i could point you in the direction of the real deal and get a better answer, but im just a dead end. which is the idea, get it? people get pissed, go looking for the person screwing with the fog, come after me instead. never expected it to backfire this way, i just like to kick people.

Fascinating. And what date did this ever-so-dignified and godlike tantrum occur? By the way, I truly apologize for the way I behaved back on the thread. I don't really have the nerve to act like that while face-to-face with somebody else, especially when somebody else could kill and eat me if they got angry enough, and that kind of behavior is surprisingly stress-relieving, if a bit petty.

if it helps, most monsters won't chow down on any newbies. not...cuz of like honor or being a good person or anything, but mostly because it's really stupid to eat someone who's just going to come back, yknow??

Understood. I'll have to make my own investigations, then. And, no sarcasm here, thank you. For not only entrusting me with this secret, but having it in the first place. It's heartening to know that at least a few monsters still have the capacity to view themselves as something more than a predator and be able to protect people. But, even though this is extremely morbid, wouldn't it be better to eat/drain from monsters rather than humans, since we do come back and the others don't?
