Dandy sits back down, scooting himself behind her, resting his chin ever so gently on her shoulder. As his mind races with ideas, he actually starts to hum like a weirdo, until finally--]

Y'know, we could really put on one hell of a show.

[She asks, lookin to the side to plant a kiss on Dandy's cheek, awkward though it may be with him so close, and leans back. She's been invited to be affectionate, okay, and she's going to revel in it.]

You reeeeeeally want me where you work all the time~?

[Dandy responds by pressing up closer against her as she leans back, giving the tiniest nuzzle. Despite the angle, his grin is unmistakable.]

I've been hopin' you'd work for lil ol' me for awhile now. I don't think your dickhead boss knew just how much it killed me having to drop you off all the time. Oh how I prayed that maybe one day you'd turn to me and say "You know, maybe I should just go with you today, Dandy. After all, your hair is by far more superior~"

[What a ham. Maya indulges him nevertheless, nuzzling her head back against him.]

Awww, always suffering. I guess I'll have a new dickhead boss from now on~

[Dandy probably could've made a face, but instead he'd much rather pull something positive out of this.]

[She even pats his cheek, keeping herself from pushing her fingers through his prized 'do.]

I like it even better when we've gone swimming, though.

[There's a goofy smile for about all of two seconds before Dandy actually processes everything she says. Then he just looks sorta dumbfounded.]

Wait, seriously?

[Maya may not stick her hands in his pomp, but Dandy sure gives it a good bop or two.]

There's, like, nothin' in it by then...

[He knows it's a mermaid thing, why is he even bothering to ask. But even so, fish brain just can't overwrite Dandy's need for style. ...And as everyone knows, a man is only as good as the amount of product that's in his hair.]

Well, yeah! It's just pretty and shiny then.

[She shrugs.]

But you're pretty cute either way.

[For a moment, Dandy can only sit there in a rare occurrence where he actually looks like he's having a meaningful thought. Unbeknownst to him, his hand starts to idly scratch at his scalp as he ponders the possibilities.

But this is Dandy, and it doesn't last very long before he gives her a playful nudge.]

I dunno why you're trying to butter me up like that, you already got the job.

I keep you buttered up for the next time you need a good toasting.

[She suggests, far too pleased with herself.]
